Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie are not saying anything about whether or not Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning will be the last movie in the famous action series.

When asked by Empire Magazine whether this would be the last film in the series, Cruise did not give a direct answer. Instead, he encouraged viewers to “see the movie” to find out for themselves.

The actor stated, “It’s a difficult topic for me to talk about right now because it’s something that you really have to go through yourself.”

He referred to the next film as “an epic, emotional journey of the entire franchise.”

On the other hand, McQuarrie, the filmmaker, implied that the film might be coming to an end, describing it as a “satisfying” ending to a story that has been going on for 30 years. This implies that the title The Final Reckoning is appropriate.

The movie will continue the fight against the AI villain known as “The Entity,” which picks up where 2023’s Dead Reckoning left off.

The cast includes returning actors Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, and others, as well as new recruits like Bob Odenkirk and Hannah Waddingham. Audiences will have to “see the movie” to find out more.
